The Post-Tensioning Institute (PTI) announced the 2011 PTI Fellows, and Technical Advisory Board (TAB) Award recipients, Tuesday, May 3, during the 2011 awards program.
The program, which was held amid PTI’s Technical Conference and Exhibition in Kansas City, MO, honors individuals for career accomplishments, committee service, and various contributions to PTI and the post-tensioning industry.
The PTI Fellow award is presented to individuals who have made outstanding long term contributions to PTI and the Industry. A minimum of 5 years active PTI membership is required to receive this award. The 2011 PTI Fellow inductees are: Robert W. Sward, Rashid Ahmed, Asit N. Baxi, Donald P. Kline, James L. Beicker, and Merrill R. Walstad.
The PTI TAB presents awards to groups and individuals who have gone beyond the call of duty and provided PTI with time and resources that are out of the ordinary. There are three categories selected by TAB Members. The first award, the James Cagley Medal for Most Active Technical Committee Chair was presented to Rashid Ahmed for his outstanding contributions to PTI and the Industry as Chair of Committee DC-20. The Russell Price award for Most Active Committee Member was presented to Guido Schwager for outstanding contributions to PTI and the Industry as Member of the Joint Task Group Committee PTI M-50/ASBI.
The evening’s awards were presented by TAB Chair, Cary Kopczynski.
