I’m having a fine time here in Las Vegas, and not just because I'm basking in the sun while there's a blizzard back home. This year’s show is bigger than in recent years—in terms of both attendance and exhibitors—which means there are more events to see, and more people to meet. If you’re at the show, here are a few FREE activities that you shouldn’t miss:
• Guided tours of the Artistry in Decorative Concrete Demonstration area.
Join Artistry supervisor Ken Hooker in a free, guided tour of the Artistry Demos during which you can meet the artists and learn more about their projects. Meet him at 1 p.m. at the entrance to the Artistry area today or tomorrow. (No tour on Friday.)
• Stop by CC Live (Booth C3229) to watch live interviews with industry leaders.
I’ll be there tomorrow morning (Thursday) at 9:15 with Bev Garnant, executive director of the American Society of Concrete Contractors/Decorative Concrete Council. We’ll unveil the WOW! Award Winner—the grand prize of their Decorative Concrete Awards competition.
• Win a ticket for a luncheon (Value: $94).
Learn about what it takes to deliver a technically challenging, yet environmentally sensitive project in today’s infrastructure market. Stop by CC Live! (Booth C3229) to get details on Building Successful Public Projects Through Innovation, Sustainability, and Leadership Luncheon & Forum. The luncheon takes place Thursday from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Tell them the Daily News staff sent you!
