Eugene P. Martineau was named the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association's (NRMCA) 2006 recipient of the William B. Allen Award. Presented at the NRMCA's 2007 Annual Convention, the association honored Martineau for his years of contribution to the industry.

A long-time supporter and member of NRMCA, Martineau has been a member of numerous association committees, founded RMC 2000—a grassroots industry movement focused on industry change, and founded the ready-mix producer company U.S. Concrete. He has served as its president and CEO since its inception in 1998. Currently Martineau serves as chairman of the National Steering Committee of the Concrete Industry Management (CIM) program.

The Allen award is named after Bill Allen—an industry figure with more than 55 years of concrete- and aggregate-related experience, and is given to those who display significant contribution to the industry.
