Research in Progress

ACI Committee 123, Research and Current Developments, seeks papers for its technical session "Research in Progress" to take place during the ACI Fall 2008 Convention in St. Louis, Nov. 2-6, 2008.

Participants are invited to submit abstracts on topics including, but not limited to, any aspect of an ongoing research program highlighting the overall scope of research, methods of investigation, test procedures, results, and conclusions to date. The session's purpose is to offer an open forum for presentation of recent technical information that does not fit into other sessions scheduled for this convention.

Abstracts of 250 words or less, along with paper title, author name(s), and contact information should be sent to Matthew D'Ambrosia or Aleksandra Radlinska at no later than Aug. 10, 2008.

Evaluation of Mass Transport in Concrete Using Nondestructive Techniques

ACI Committees 228, Nondestructive Testing of Concrete, and 236, Material Science of Concrete, seek papers for their technical session "Evaluation of Mass Transport in Concrete Using Nondestructive Techniques." This session will take place during the ACI Spring 2009 Convention in San Antonio, Texas, March 15-19, 2009.

Participants are invited to submit abstracts on topics including, but not limited to, the implementation of nondestructive testing technologies in the evaluation of mass transport in concrete.

Abstracts of 500 words or less, along with paper title, author name(s), and contact information should be sent to Andrew Boyd no later than Sept. 15, 2008.

Adhesives and Adhesive Anchors

ACI Committees 503, Adhesives for Concrete, and 355, Anchorage to Concrete, seek papers for their technical session "Adhesives and Adhesive Anchors for Use in Concrete" to take place during the ACI Spring 2009 Convention in San Antonio, Texas, March 15-19, 2009.

Participants are invited to submit abstracts on topics including, but not limited to, chemical properties and the performance of adhesives used for anchoring and attaching to concrete.

Abstracts of up to 300 words, along with paper title, author name(s), and contact information should be sent to Richard Wollmershauser no later than Oct. 1, 2008.

How I Spiced Up My Concrete

The ACI Convention Technical Program Committee seeks papers for its technical session "How I Spiced Up My Concrete" to take place during the ACI Fall 2009 Convention in New Orleans, Nov. 8-12, 2009.

Participants are invited to submit abstracts on various ways they have "spiced up" their concrete with innovations in research, design, materials, and construction methods.

Abstracts of up to one page, along with paper title, author name(s), and contact information should be sent to Subhash Kulkarni or Jesse Hemeter no later than June 15, 2009.
