Concrete floor coatings have been gaining unprecedented popularity over the last two decades. In fact, Transparency Market Research recently released a report about the global concrete floor coatings market that revealed the industry will reach $1.1 billion in the United States alone by the end of 2020.
Of course, this validates what the concrete flooring market is seeing as it fields greater interest from customers from coast to coast, and even internationally. It’s also what drove Arizona Polymer Flooring (APF), a manufacturer of high-performance flooring products and concrete coating systems, to announce its acquisition of California-based Super-Krete International, a globally recognized manufacturer of high-quality decorative concrete and concrete repair and products.
By coming together, the two companies will be able to offer customers a comprehensive suite of products, ranging from complete industrial floor coatings through decorative concrete flooring systems and concrete repair.
“Super-Krete is an industry leader and true market force in the decorative concrete market. We saw a fantastic opportunity to join forces and together offer our clients the best in both industrial and decorative concrete flooring systems,” said APF President Daniel Owen.
“Given the current demand and anticipated growth in the industry, this acquisition will allow us to strengthen our position in the decorative concrete and concrete repair markets while also introducing a wider line of products and systems to Super-Krete’s existing customers,” said Super-Krete Executive Vice President Tracey Lackovich.
APF will continue delivering high-performance flooring products and systems, zeroing in on the industrial marketplace, which includes demanding environments, such aircraft hangars, auto maintenance areas, food and beverage processing facilities, health care facilities and other spaces requiring high-performance solutions.
Existing decorative products in the APF line will ultimately be transitioned to the Super-Krete brand, which traditionally sells through distribution. Super-Krete is known for high-quality waterproofing, repair, restoration and beautification materials for residential and commercial projects.
Despite focusing on different segments of the concrete flooring industry, the two companies share several common bonds, making the integration relatively seamless. Each of the family-based businesses share the same core values, approach to customer service and are built on constant innovation.
Both companies have a national footprint and are rapidly expanding their roster of international clients.
APF’s manufacturing facility is located in Arizona, and Super-Krete has two manufacturing facilities in California and Texas. All locations will remain in operation.
