Building teamwork takes more effort than ever. Increased communication helps crews produce better when they can identify each team member’s skills, strengths, and expertise. Begin with more communication geared toward understanding scheduled work, what is expected and needed on projects, and when they have reached performance goals. Remind crews of past successes and provide them time to plan for success. Finally, recognize their successes and encourage them to have fun. The secret to great teamwork is getting them engaged—consistently!
This seminar, Five Secrets of Effective Teamwork for Construction Companies, was presented by Brad Humphrey at World of Concrete 2012.
