At this point in the seminar, the first dye color has been sprayed onto the polished concrete. The first stencil layer is now being removed, carefully making sure to leave the little registration marks that will be used to align the second stencil layer. Each stencil is applied by first cleaning the concrete with a microfiber mop then using a squeegee to make sure all air bubbles are pushed out—this assures sharp lines at the edges of the stencil.

This seminar was presented by Rachel Bruce and Chris Swanson in Concrete Construction’s How-To Zone at World of Concrete 2012.
