Work continues on the Hoku Materials polysilicon plant in Pocatello. It took less than twelve hours to pour twenty-five hundred yards of concrete at the construction site.
The cement and aggregate were all produced locally and Pocatello Ready Mix was tapped to deliver the giant load. The pour signifies a major milestone for the plant and Hoku is thrilled to be nearing completion.
“It’s been a very exciting project and I know the community is very anxious to see it come to fruition and so us being this close at this time is really an exciting point,” said Amy Burks, P.R. Director for Hoku.
If all goes as planned, the facility will begin full operations in a few weeks.
