With only a week to go before the start of the 2016 World of Concrete I'm worried. My right knee is injured such that I'm not sure how well I'll be able to get around and one thing that is almost essential at WOC is walking. Lots of walking.
I guess I could get a little cart to ride around on or a Segway. Or maybe I'll just take massive doses of ibuprofen. This is sort of humiliating for someone who has spent his entire life running and cycling and hiking 14,000-foot Colorado mountains. Maybe my knee was only designed for so many steps and I hit the limit.
But I'll be there, so if you see me hobbling around the show, stop me to say hi. That will give me an excuse to rest the damn joint for a few minutes. And since you will also be walking, bring some good shoes! See you in Vegas!
