A home completely made of concrete in California is fire-resistant and non-combustible. The home, above the Occidental forest, was purchased by Nick Nicastro was built without insulated forms or blocks. Instead the original contractor, Joe Manning, poured concrete foundation and cured it. Radiant heat was then installed in the floors and electricity, along with plumbing and insulation that went into the walls.
The house is meant to withstand any form of natural disaster. So far, knock on concrete, it’s lasted.
