Children at the Long Island Stony Brook University Hospital looked out their windows to find hopeful messages on steel beams. Construction workers began to leave messages on these steel beams as they work to build a new children’s hospital across the street from Stony Brook. With messages such as, “Hope you all get better soon,” the steel beam messages have provided the children at the hospital with smiles. 

Their well wishes, which appeared around the time the final beam was installed in their new facility, showed both the staff and patients another side of those who are working on the children's hospital.
