One office space in Minneapolis is grabbing the world’s attention as it races towards completion in fall 2016. This unique office space will become the country’s first modern commercial property to use engineered wood from it structure to the interior of the building.
Using engineered wood allows for developers to not be limited by the height of a building. Vancouver-based architect Michael Green has been an advocate for engineered wood and is the main architect for the Minneapolis building.
This brings up the ever growing discussion on whether wood, or concrete, is the best material to use when building tall buildings.
