On February 15 and 16, volunteers from the ASCC's Decorative Concrete Council (DCC) installed 3000 square feet of decorative pavement in Tchoupitoulas Triangle Park, a small park owned by New Orleans and located near the Convention Center. Included in the group of contractors and manufacturers was Concrete Construction's senior editor Joe Nasvik, who helped with the placement and finishing. All materials and labor were donated by DCC members. On March 18th, during the DCC Decorative Concrete Expo event, the site was formally dedicated to those who lost their life to the Katrina hurricane.
