Simpson Strong-Tie, the industry leader in engineered structural connectors and building solutions, will demonstrate new concrete anchoring products at the World of Concrete 2016 and offer attendees a chance to participate in a “Drill n’ Fill” product installation contest during the tradeshow Feb. 2-5, in Las Vegas, in outdoor booth #O30220.

Participants in the “Drill ‘n Fill” product installation contest will install an adhesive anchor, a Titen HD concrete screw, three gas-driven fasteners, and a powder-driven fastener. All participants will receive a t-shirt and the daily champion will win a YETI cooler. The contest champion will take home a Speed Clean Dust Extraction System, a comprehensive drill bit-and-vacuum system that reduces dust while producing precise, clean holes for adhesive installation. Power tools for the “Drill ‘n Fill” contest are provided by industry partner, the Robert Bosch Tool Company.

Simpson Strong-Tie repair, protection and strengthening products will be featured, with continuous product installation demonstrations and crush tests of the company’s newly code-listed fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP). A 180-gallon tide pool will simulate the in-place installation capabilities of the FX-70 structural repair and protection system.

Featured anchor system products include the new Hollow Drop-In Anchor (HDIA), an internally threaded, flush-mount anchor for use in hollow materials such as CMU and hollow-core plank, and the new Piston Plug Adhesive Delivery System, offering an easy-to-use, more reliable and less time-consuming means to dispense adhesive into drilled holes for threaded rod and rebar dowel installations at overhead, upwardly inclined and horizontal orientations.

Knowledgeable field representatives and product managers will be on hand to answer questions and facilitate product demonstrations and installations.
