The Site Commander 2005 National Tour ended in June with one lucky contractor winning the Site Commander work truck. Hilti Western Hemisphere President/CEO Cary Evert presented the keys to “the ultimate work truck” to Michael Moran at the company's headquarters in Tulsa, Okla.
“This truck is going to change my life,” says Moran, who is a long-time employee at Kurk Concrete in Union Grove, Wis. “It has everything I need and want.”
The Site Commander is designed to be “the perfect work truck.” It is a 2005 Ford F-550 Super Duty Crew Cab outfitted with a Reading Classic II Spacemaster service body, IFW Contractor Grade BedSlide, and a Field2Base wireless computer system. Plus, it is loaded with a complete line of professional Hilti tools. In all, the truck and tools are worth more than $114,000.
Sponsored by Hilti, Ford, and Hanley Wood's Tools of the Trade magazine, the Site Commander traveled the country throughout 2005 visiting construction jobsites, trade shows, special events, Hilti Centers, and select The Home Depot locations. Moran won by filling out an entry form at the World of Concrete.
