In 1975, the inaugural World of Concrete trade show was launched in Houston. That first show featured 77 exhibitors covering 22,000 square feet of exhibit space. A total of 1550 construction industry professionals made their way to the show.
Times have changed, for the bigger and for the better.
World of Concrete 2009 marks the 35th anniversary of the construction industry's only international show dedicated to the commercial concrete—and masonry construction—industries.
The 2009 version of World of Concrete, being held Feb. 2–6 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, now attracts more than 1700 exhibitors in close to a million square feet of exhibit space. Approximately 90,000 attendees are expected at this year's show alone.
