This year at World of Concrete (WOC), Concrete Construction and The Concrete Producer magazines are bringing attendees an all new area of the show floor dedicated to green building solutions called GREENSITE. Located in the South Hall, Level 2, dozens of exhibitors will showcase technologies, displays, video presentations, and limitless information about this exciting new aspect of the construction industry.

In addition, a new track for 2008 in the 90-Minute Seminars is Green Building. Sustainability and environmental-friendly construction is in demand, making this track of six sessions a timely addition to the WOC Education Program. Seminars include:

  • Green Building and Sustainable Design: Impacts and Challenges (Monday, Jan. 21, 10 a.m.–11:30 a.m.)
  • Opportunities in Pervious Concrete: Why, How, and Where (Tuesday, Jan. 22, 3 p.m.–4:30 p.m.)
  • How to Finish Floors Containing Fly Ash (Wednesday, Jan. 23, 3 p.m.–4:30 p.m.)
  • Sustainable Masonry: LEED Design and Energy Efficient Walls (Thursday, Jan. 24, 8 a.m.–9:30 a.m.)
  • How CO2 Emissions are Changing Our Industry (Thursday, Jan. 24, 3 p.m.–4:30 p.m.)
  • Sustainability/Productivity Through People, Process, and Product Innovation (Friday, Jan. 25, 10 a.m.–11:30 a.m.)
