The demos will take place in the Concrete Surfaces Decorative Pavilion (Silver Lot) Jan. 21-24. Attendees can vote for their favorites at the event. Returning 2013 Artistry winner Gascon will use GFRC and lightweight concrete to create a sculpture complete with functioning waterfall and flying eagle.

Gill plans to demonstrate several ways of incorporating logo designs into a concrete floor, including a terrazzo style with multicolor infill, a shotblast relief example, and a polished epoxy resin design.

Hallack will produce a slab divided into four quadrants, each with a different pattern of sawcuts depicting a portion of a labyrinth, a mandala, and other designs.

A 2013 Concrete Surfaces Polished Concrete Award winner, Vancil will use various etching and polishing techniques to produce a cubic representation of the World of Concrete logo, in honor of WOC’s 40th anniversary.
