A team of six heavy equipment operators from Fort Pitt Redi-Mix in Lloyd, SK, Canada, competed for bragging rights in this year’s competition. Here’s what they liked best:

No pre-event workouts needed
Mark Tschetter, first year competitor, was looking forward to trying his hand at the course, but didn’t spend extra time perfecting his driving agility. “Every day on the job is training for this challenge — it’s what we do!”

Test out new equipment
“We use vehicles with manual transmissions,” said James Walter, “but I liked the chance to try out the automatic models.”

Prove your skills
The bottom line, said Adam Tschetter: “It’s the only way to see if you’re as good an operator as you say you are!”
