Story and photographs depict the unrelenting, round-the-clock efforts of those who built the bridge over the 11-month period. CHBC tours Austin and Orlando
The Concrete Home Building Council (CHBC) recently announced two Concrete Technology Tours in 2009 in an effort to target a wider audience and provide maximum exposure to members. A tour in Austin, Texas will take place Sunday, March 1 and Monday, March 2. An Orlando-based tour is scheduled for Sunday, March 8 and Monday, March 9. The goal for both tours is to highlight the different aspects of residential concrete applications to builders and others in the housing industry.
“As a result of our attendance at the 2008 tour, we decided to start an ICF project,” says Kevin Johnson, Mark Johnson Custom Homes, N.C., an attendee from the Charlotte, N.C., tour this year. “The project is also a registered green-building home. This is an exciting step for our company.”
The CHBC currently is looking for tour stops, such as jobsites, construction projects, and manufacturing facilities, for both locations. If your company is interested, contact Kate Driscoll, senior program manager, at email@example.com.
