What is the best way to get a smooth surface on white concrete?
If possible, smooth surfaces should be avoided on white concrete because differences in texture and color show up more markedly than on normal gray or colored concrete. There is also a slightly increased tendency for white concrete surfaces to craze. The crazing is much more apparent on smooth surfaces than on textured surfaces. It may be wise to deliberately try to produce a surface that is less smooth than normal. For this purpose you could use a form release agent that has a very slight retarding effect.
