Where can I get information about bridge construction by post-tensioning a series of segmented boxes?
A summary of the ways this kind of construction has been done in Eurpoe with epoxy joints is described in a well-illustrated report by Jean Muller, "Ten Years of Experience in Precast Segmental Construction," published in the PCI Journal for January-February 1975. In addition, the Prestressed Concrete Institute has issued a 20-page report on "Recommended Practice for Segmental Construction in Prestressed Concrete." It appeared in the PCI Journal for March-April 1975 and covers design considerations, fabrication of segments, transportation, erection, joint and post-tensioning. Separate copies of each are available from The Prestressed Concrete Institute, 20 North Wacker Drive, Chicago, Illinois 60606.
