The vice president of our firm is the only one authorized to go with OSHA compliance officers during inspections. One OSHA inspector took two of our foremen with him. Doesn't that invalidate the inspection?
No. Compliance officers aren't required to find representatives authorized by the company, though if requested to do so they are likely to wait a brief time for the authorized person to arrive on the scene. If the waiting time becomes unreasonable they'll buttonhole whatever supervisory person they can and ask him to accompany them.
