There are twenty questions that contractors and their supervisors should ask themselves during any concreting project. A few of them are as follows: has the foundation area been cleared and the foundation material been tamped and wetted? Have the forms been set to proper alignment and has specified reinforcing been properly placed? Have the forms been oiled? Have the weather conditions been checked? Has the concrete arrived too wet or too dry? Did the contractor add unnecessary water so that the concrete runs freely? And is the concrete being properly compacted and being leveled to the proper grade? By asking these questions costly errors can be minimize and troublesome problems caused by neglect and oversight can be prevented
