Since the USDA emulsion linseed oil is made with water is it cheaper?
Although the USDA emulsion is about half water and half oil, it may cost more than older products until it is manufactured on a large scale. But spraying it on fresh concrete once for both curing and antispalling protection (for 2 years) costs less than some other curing method followed by cleaning and subsequently an antispalling application. USDA emulsion curing allows a contractor to finish a job as much as 30 days earlier than other methods, depending upon the time between curing and antispalling applications.
