The Concrete Reinforcing Steel Institute is now accepting nominations for its inaugural CRSI HONORS awards program. For more than 35 years, CRSI has recognized design and construction achievement by owners, architects, engineers and construction managers across North America.

Nominations will be accepted now through November 15, 2013, to recognize a project, a leader, an organization, or a specific innovation in the reinforced concrete construction industry. All members of the development team – owner, architect, engineer, program manager, construction manager, contractor, sub-contractor or material supplier – are encouraged to submit. New construction, addition, renovation or adaptive projects nominated must have been completed between January 1, 2009 and March 1, 2013. All nominations must involve projects to be primarily dependent upon steel-reinforced concrete systems including cast-in-place, site-cast, tilt-up or hybrid concrete systems upon completion.

The marketing and public relations value of participation in the CRSI HONORS program is remarkable. CRSI HONORS award recipients benefit from widespread national attention for a minimum of two years – spotlighting their accomplishments among current and prospective clientele as well as at leading academic institutions across North America. Honors award recipients qualify for special presentations of their award at the time and venue of the recipient’s choice where possible. CRSI Region Managers partner with award winners to organize and conduct powerful award presentations.

To submit a nomination, please visit the CRSI HONORS website at CRSI members and non-members alike are encouraged to submit. CRSI membership is not required and will not affect selection of award recipients.

Awards will be announced on January 21, 2014. Winners qualify for special presentations by CRSI region staff at a time and place of the recipient’s choosing. CRSI publications draw from winning design award submissions, providing for two years of added recognition.
