On sites that limit concrete truck access, placing concrete in hard-to-reach forms for slabs, walls, and footings can be a problem. However, newly introduced lightweight conveyors improve the contractor's ability to handle these placing problems. The units can span up to 30 feet across forms, place concrete as high as 16 feet above ground, and can fit through small openings. Because they're light enough to be lifted by hand or wheeled into place, repositioning takes less time than relocating the ready mix truck.
