I am interested in information on the U.S. Metric Study being conducted by the National Bureau of Standards. Where can I get more information on this subject?
According to Dr. Lewis M. Branscomb, Director of the National Bureau of Standards, U.S. Department of Commerce, plans have been announced for a series of six National Metric Study Conferences to be held in Washington, D.C. An earlier conference, covering the engineering-related industry, was held in Deerfield, Massachusetts, in August. The first of the Washington conferences was held in September for the consumer-related industry. The conference for construction and construction-related groups will be held October 5-6. These conferences are designed to provide an opportunity for representatives of major trade associations and professional societies to analyze the issues of the U.S. Metric Study. Further information may be obtained from A. V. Gentilini, National Bureau of Standards, U.S. Department of Commerce, Washington, D.C. 20230.
