A.: Although spraying the curing compound might be effective in retarding evaporation it would add material to the surface that would be undesirable at that time. It would get worked into the cement paste itself during finishing and interfere with the production of a good, ultimately hard surface. There are monomolecular films that might be useful substitutes for fog spraying if another method is needed.
