Do buff cements produce better colors than a mixture of pigment with white or gray cement?
Whether it is better depends on your personal assessment of tone and hue. Buff cements are said to harmonize very well with colored aggregates to produce pleasing combinations. An important advantage of using a buff cement is that there is only one material to mix instead of two and there is much less likelihood of having trouble with variations in color. With any colored material, however, it is wise to stock a sufficient amount from a single lot to complete the whole job. This may require close cooperation with a ready mixed concrete supplier.
