Pumps Keep Arena Concrete Pours on Schedule

Even on a job with two tower cranes at work, pumping proved to be the most efficient concrete placing method for a basketball arena being built in Minneapolis. Concrete work for the 10-level structure was originally scheduled to be done with a tower crane and 3-yard bucket, with a smaller hydraulic crane helping out. But the general contractor called in the pumps when lower-level arena walls were placed, then opted to pump the decks and supporting beams too. More
