Public speaking is a gift that some are blessed with while others are forced to "um" and "uh" their way through a speech. However simply practicing your public speaking using some of these apps available on smartphones can help you get over your fear and become a great public speaker.

One of the apps which can improve public speaking is Ummo. Simply turn on the microphone icon, wait for the countdown, and then talk. While your are speaking Ummo transcribes your speaking and you can make app alert you anytime that overuse a word or use a filler word:

The data is presented in easy-to-read graphs, and if you tap on a point in the graph, you can see the words in the speech transcript at that moment. The idea is to learn when in the speech you faltered so you can practice and fix mistakes.
