Middle Tennessee Statue University (MTSU) recently announced their new School of Concrete and Construction Management, a combination of existing programs that they believe will look much more attractive to students and employers. The Tennessean staffer Adam Tamburin reports on this announcement, which was made in Nashville due to all of the ongoing construction in the city that serve as a reminder of the job prospects for the student.

MTSU data from August displays those job prospects:

...there were 8.4 jobs for each graduating concrete major at MTSU and almost every construction major graduate has found a job in recent years. Many MTSU students wind up taking leadership roles in major construction projects. Brown pointed out that an MTSU graduate helped to oversee a project last year to rebuild eight Davidson County bridges in eight weekends.
