Building Bridges to Better Infrastructure

Aaron’s recently had Putzmeister outfit one its two 47Z-Meter trucks on the 11th Street Bridge Project with a special decal supporting Autism Speaks, and has committed to donating 1% of sales from the truck every year to the organization to help raise awareness for the disorder.

Given the limited working space on the project, the 47Z’s compact footprint was especially beneficial.

The substructure components, piers, columns, and caps being poured for the bridges are massive and tall, making consistent concrete placement critical.

The long, maneuverable boom arm and extended reach of the 47Z helped the efficiency and ease of the concrete placement.

Along with a 36Z-Meter and a 20Z-Meter, two Putzmeister 47Z-Meter truck-mounted concrete boom pumps are pumping about 8000 cubic yards of concrete needed for the bridges.

A Putzmeister Telebelt TB 110 places the stone and dirt for the bridge abutments.
