The Venetian Macau Casino, built by the Las Vegas Sand Corp., Las Vegas, is built on 1 square mile of land. The goal is to create a family oriented atmosphere for kids and adults—complete with luxury hotels and a gambling center bigger than Las Vegas.
"Bob's Produce Ranch is a store that you come to a few times a week to pick up fresh foods. We did not want a white shiny floor. We wanted something natural and liked the concrete look—the warm toned coloring represents us well," says Mike Schroer, store owner.
This year graphic artists known nationally for their airbrushing techniques on cars and helicopters saw their work preserved in a concrete floor.
Neil Ohmie signed this floor upon completion on behalf of himself and his crew. He says that he always wanted to be an artist. When he found decorative concrete, it became his medium.

More than 12 different samples supplied to Magdelena Abakanowicz determined the plaza's final color.
Vince Schrementi states with admiration that when the crane lowered each of the 106 sculptural pieces, the mature artist indvidually placed them on the concrete. Each leg was epoxied into the concrete with stainless steel rods under each feet.
