Buying a compact motor grader makes sense. One man with this single piece of equipment can handle all of these site preparation tasks: initial ground breaking; rough grading; base compaction; fine grading; and cleanup of excess material. Downsized graders also can be purchased with big grader features: hydraulically articulated frame, hydraulic wheel lean, and dual-oscillating rear tandem wheels. Optional equipment includes a loader bucket, ripper/scarifier, and front-mounted dozer blade. With a custom-made attachment, you can even turn a skid-steer loader into a grader. Replace the loader bucket with a grader unit by moving a specially designed attachment frame into a flange on the unit and locking it in place.
