On some small to medium jobs, the truck chute falls short and there's not enough concrete to justify pumping costs. A mixer-mounted conveyor solves this problem. It bridges over rough terrain and delivers concrete as fast as the contractor's crews can place it. Watch for two new mixer-mounted conveyor features to be introduced soon. The first is a modified pivot arrangement. An arm attachment swings out so the conveyor pivots at the center of the rear bumper. This adds about 50 degrees more rotation range. A second feature to be added is an electricity sensor. On standard hydraulically operated equipment, the device will alert the operator with a loud buzz and warning light if the conveyor is too close to an electromagnetic field.
