Most concrete engraving is done by hand using jigs or templates, but the Concrete Printer is a CNC engraving machine that can etch any logo or pattern into a concrete surface. Mounted on hardened chrome-plated rails and rolling on ball bearings, the X-, Y-, and Z-axes inputs are controlled by independent motor drives from a laptop computer. It can engrave a 2x3-foot area or larger areas by tiling. The device even has a floating head that determines any uneven surfaces and adjusts the Z-axis accordingly. Check out the video at www.concreteprinter.com to see it engrave the Milwaukee Brewers logo onto a slab.
