The American Society of Concrete Contractors’ Decorative Concrete Council announced the winners of its annual awards program on Feb. 2 at World of Concrete.

Except for Countertops and a new category, Project Video, projects are divided by size: under and over 5,000 square feet. Judges may — but don’t have to — award a first and second place in each category and size. And that’s what they did; in some cases, only a first place was awarded.

Congratulations to the 28 specialty contracting companies on their remarkable achievements. Click through the slideshow for project details of the first place winners, and the WOW Award. Check out the 2016 DCC Awards, Second Place Winners.

NEW CATEGORY! Project Video. Four entries isn’t bad for the first year of a new category. Judges said the Santa Cruz Roundabout by Tom Ralston Concrete of Santa Cruz, Calif., illustrates just some of decorative concrete’s amazing possibilities.
