While static electricity is often little more than an annoyance in our everyday lives, in certain work environments electrostatic discharge can damage machinery, electronics or other technical products, not to mention where hazardous or flammable materials are present, a spark could ignite an explosion, endangering not only the job site but the surrounding community.
Static dissipative footwear should only be worn in clean environments and in conjunction with static dissipative flooring. KEEN Utility offers a variety of electro static dissipative options for workers in these unique settings.
