Flying in and extracting column-hung table forms for slabs can be time-consuming and dangerous. A unique compensator system from Signal-Rite speeds things up and allows contractors to use bigger and heavier tables. Invented by crane safety expert Jeff York, the spreader bar is hooked to a crane and attached to a remote-controlled electric hoist that allows the tables to be positioned at any angle from horizontal to 90 degrees vertical. Positioning is much quicker with the electric hoist and does not require workers to be on the table while it’s in motion. “Our cycle times were greatly improved,” says Mike Pitts, Penta Building Group. “Safety was enhanced dramatically, as no employee had to leave the leading edge.” For more information, contact York at email@example.com.
