New techniques and concrete products is what many attendees want most when they come to WOC. The innovations showcased throughout the show floor can inspire new business ventures, projects, and ideas. Out in the Concrete Surfaces & Decorative Pavilion, a number of manufacturers are conducting hands-on demos and showcasing the latest in decorative and polishing.
Jon Nasvik, owner of Cliffhangers, Sun Valley, Idaho, tried out HTC Professional Floor Systems’ Phoenix diamond pads to quickly and efficiently polish concrete countertops. These pads are uniquely designed to more aggressively polish the surface, saving time and money.
Nasvik used RapidSet TRU self-leveling overlay to cast the countertops into a mold. The high-strength concrete is very fast setting and is ideal for polishing applications.
These concrete countertops will be donated to Habitat for Humanity of Las Vegas after the close of WOC. Habitat sells the countertops in their stores in order to raise money to build houses. To learn more, visit www.habitatlasvegas.org.
