According to the latest forecast from the Portland Cement Association, cement consumption will increase a modest four percent in 2013, but will approach double-digit growth in 2014 and 2015, with 9.7 percent consumption increases in both years.

TXI Chairman Robert David Rogers (1936-2013) died June 11 in Dallas. Rogers served as TXI chief executive officer from 1970–2004, and chairman of the board since. The TXI Board of Directors has named Tom Ransdell as Rogers' replacement.
