My blog last week must have hit a nerve, because all kinds of folks have shared opinions on the future of engineers in state and local public works departments.
Maybe the question should be: Can we afford to lose valuable engineering and managerial talent to the private sector? I say no, but it’s already happening.
Depends on whether residents are willing to give up a popular pastime.
