Ready-mix concrete production totaled 33.2 million cubic yards in October 2016, or 3.2% lower than a year ago. Total production for the first 10 months of 2016 stood at 291.8 million cubic yards, which is 2.4% higher than the first 10 months of 2015, according to NRMCA, based on information from the U.S. Geological Survey.
Ready-mix production for all of 2015 totaled 336 million cubic yard, or 3.5% more than the 324.7 million cubic yards in 2014. Production during the Great Recession bottomed out at 257.4 million cubic yards in 2010. The record is 458.3 million cubic yards in 2005.
