Caterpillar and Deere Make Fortune List

Construction machinery giants Caterpillar and Deere & Co. are ranked in Fortune's annual list of Most Admired Companies. Caterpillar was ranked 47th; Deere, 50th.

Caterpillar has been ranked in the list for 16 consecutive years. Fortune also ranked Caterpillar as the number one most admired company in the Construction and Farm Machinery category.

"The Fortune Most Admired ranking is evidence that John Deere's 60,000 employees around the world remain focused each day on serving our customers and living our core values of integrity, quality, commitment, and innovation," said Samuel R. Allen, chairman and chief executive officer at Deere.
