Oltmans Construction Co., a general contractor specializing in commercial and industrial construction, renovations, solar, infrastructure and public works, self-performs most of its concrete work. Rigorous quality control practices include measuring the flatness of floors on every project and double-checking layouts for all subcontractors.
One of the first companies to perform tilt-up concrete construction, Oltmans has been forming, curing, and finishing its own tilt-up components onsite since the mid-1940s. Today, the company builds seismic-resistant tilt-ups with 36-foot clear heights for automatic warehouse racking systems. Oltmans brings its tilt-up know-how to the classroom by offering instruction in the University of Southern California’s real estate product development class. The company also donates pro bono construction and construction management services to sheltering organizations such as Olive Crest and Orange County Rescue Mission.
