Three men with a truck started this family-owned company back in 1950. Humble beginnings drove hard work, which led to success for Albanelli Cement Contractors in Livonia, Mich. The contractor specializes in concrete flatwork and concrete for projects that include commercial, industrial, educational, municipal, and residential. Growing up, cousins Paul and Wayne Albanelli learned the business side of contracting and bought the company in 1993.
“Our fathers built such a great reputation for quality and performance, that we were determined to uphold that reputation,” says Paul Albanelli.
With 45 full-time employees and plans for expansion, the contractor focuses on recruiting and training qualified tradesmen and field leaders. The company strives to produce durable and aesthetically pleasing concrete with highly skilled finishers for each project. The Albanelli cousins believe scheduling, pricing, and quality separate them from their competitors.
The contractor is a long-time member of the American Society of Concrete Contractors, which has helped them grow and innovate. The Albanelli’s are constantly looking for ideas that will enhance and challenge the business, along with adopting new technologies that allow for quicker and more efficient responses to their clients.
“Client satisfaction comes in many forms and knowing what’s important to each client on each individual job is important,” says Paul Albanelli. “Doing what we say we’re going to do, without any excuses, gives us the opportunity to capitalize on the customer relationships that we have worked so hard to build.”
