It’s easy for contractors to grow and abandon their family-owned roots. But Goodmanson Construction maintains these roots by developing concrete relationships within the community. The contractor’s high employee retention rate is due to its intensive training programs, advancement opportunities, and employee appreciation events.
Goodmanson Construction invests heavily in machinery and cloud-based software. In the last five years, the contractor has almost doubled its staff and tripled its fleet. The contractor’s roots can be traced back to Merl Goodmanson in 1971. After serving six years as an aircraft mechanic in the U.S. Marines, Goodmanson was honorably discharged and returned to concrete. When his son Rick took over the business in 2003, a successful small business flourished.
This contractor’s dedication to top-notch products and superior service has allowed it to gain a reputation as one of the best concrete contractors in the Minneapolis/Saint Paul area. Staying ahead of industry regulations has helped this contractor thrive.
“Customers compliment our staff regularly. People say our staff is very knowledgeable and skilled,” says CEO Rick Goodmanson. “We have also been told that we keep one of the cleanest jobsites around, which believe it or not, is a tough thing to find in our industry.”
