Having great people is the key to building great companies. Steven Sunquist, owner of Naples Luxury Builders, pays his workers above industry average because he sees great value in their work.
Sunquist began working for a concrete contractor in Chicago when he was a teenager. He continued as a concrete foreman while attending the University of Nebraska at Kearney and joined the Local 502 Cement Masons union after graduating. He moved to Florida and opened his own company which he merged with a concrete construction company. Sunquist started Naples Luxury Builders in 2015 and brought with him 17 employees who worked with him at his former business.
The contractor emphasizes residential shell construction, slab, block, and tie beam, along with piling homes located on the water, some larger than 7,000 square feet. Naples Luxury Builders works on homes of all sizes, including Collier County’s largest LEED platinum-rated green building. This complex project included the Aercon block system, a foam insulated foundation, and specific vapor barriers for the walls and floors.
Every crew member has more than 20 years of concrete construction experience. Due to their outstanding knowledge and skill, they are utilized by other homebuilders and developers in South Florida.
“Concrete construction tests one's character, strength, skill, and work ethic; something all of the Naples Luxury Builders team takes great pride in,” says Sunquist.
